Eden’s driving force was to experience the world, to be surrounded by family and friends,” she added. “She loved to travel in Israel and even more loved to fly and see the world. She loved nature and in particular, loved the sun, sunrises and sunsets”.

Eden Ben Rubi
Born on September 23, 2000 to her loving parents, Meirav and Uzi, Eden's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with creativity, love, and a thirst for adventure. Raised in Rishon LeZion, Israel with her younger brother Roei, she spent summers at camp in Greece, basking in the sun and culture the country.
Eden was a vibrant and charismatic soul, adored by all who knew her. Her contagious energy and natural ability to connect with people made her a beloved friend and family member. With a passion for life and adventure, she sought out new experiences with unwavering enthusiasm. She found inspiration in the beauty of the world around her, especially the sea, which held a special place in her heart. As a talented artist, she transformed the everyday into extraordinary works of art, from drawing on canvases to flower boxes to clothes and surfboards and beyond. Her artistic talents were evident from a young age, as her mother shared, and her versatility was showcased, noting for example her face painting and tattoo art.
Eden's driving force was to experience the world and cherish the company of loved ones. Travel was a passion, and she found joy in exploring both Israel and the far reaches of the globe. Nature, particularly the sun, was a source of inspiration and comfort.
Tragically, Eden was brutally murdered by Hamas on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. Her shocking death, amidst a party filled with light and love, left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her. She was laid to rest on October 11 in Rishon LeZion.
We are honored to participate in the Next October Initiative
The story behind
The Next October initiative harnesses Israeli innovation to honor the memory of those lost in the October 2023 Hamas War. More than 1,400 innovative startup companies will commemorate the victims of the war, soldiers and civilians, while building innovative products and services which will be implemented globally and will make for a better world.
A startup company is designated for each fallen soldier and for each civilian victim of the war. Moreover, Next October adds ongoing value to its startups through mentorship programs, connections with investors and networking opportunities.
Startups participating in the Next October initiative commit to "doing good" as a core value.
